My career at iowa

About Brendan

Born and raised in Iowa, I’ve always had a competitive mindset and drive to be the best in all that I do. I’ve competed in a multitude of sports including football, basketball, track & field, baseball, soccer, and boxing and became a student of each. I have spent endless hours researching different techniques and training styles to better understand how to be successful in each sport.

It was my dream to play football and run track at the University of Iowa, however, my junior year I sustained a knee injury that ended my football career. This led me to focus all efforts into being the best sprinter I could be on the track and began my dream to become a physical therapist. I got the opportunity to be a walk-on at Iowa where I majored in Human Physiology and Psychology, with the goal of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Throughout my 5 years competing as a Hawkeye, I developed a higher level of understanding and appreciation of what it took to be an elite athlete. Being surrounded by some of the best coaches, athletes, and training staff in the world; I was able to learn and internalize what they taught me and apply it on a daily basis.

Having recently graduated from physical therapy school in a curriculum that centers around human movement,
I do all I can to help each athlete achieve their greatest level of performance by optimizing movement economy in their respective sports. My network and knowledge base is growing by the day and I implement this into the services I offer, providing the most up-to-date information and training techniques to give them the best chance at success and opportunities at the next level.
