Remote Rehab + 400m Training

During the offseason between my junior and senior track season, I suffered two hamstring injuries in the same leg. I spent many hours in the gym trying to strengthen them back up to 100%. Before my senior indoor season I committed to a Division 1 school for track and was hoping to have a healthy senior season.

Going into my first indoor meet, my hamstrings never felt better. During the 200m, I pulled my hamstring and it was the worst one yet. The next two weeks I wasn’t sure on what to do.

I thought about sitting out the rest of the season and waiting for college. I also thought about just quitting track and being done with it. My dad eventually convinced me to rehab my hamstring back and try to run again my senior season.

We had seen Brendan on twitter and Instagram and decided to contact him for help. After many weeks of Brendan giving me workouts, I was finally 100% healthy ready to run.

During my outdoor season, I broke 50 in the 400 a total of 5 times, with a PR of 49.53. Then going into our state meet, I was ranked first in 1A 400m.

I knew if I trusted Brenden’s training the past 2 months, I could finish with a state title in the 400. I came out of the meet a State Champion with a time of 49.79.

In a matter of two and a half months, I went from suffering a bad hamstring strain to winning my first individual state title. Brendan helped in a lot of ways throughout the season with sending workouts and checking up on me to see how I was feeling weekly.
